Get ready for some serious boot-scootin ‘, as a new country music festival is coming to Sydney and Australian music legend Kasey Chambers is about to make headlines.
Titled Country and Inner Western, the festival will take place as part of the Sydney Solstice at various bars, pubs and parks in Inner West over the June long weekend of next year – from Friday June 11 to Sunday June 13.
ARIA-Hall of Famer Chambers will headline the event on Saturday 12 at the Sydney Park Amphitheater, showing its multi-award-winning catalog for the first time at a festival.
Chambers is just one of many country crooners who will take the stage during the three-day event, along with other artists including Tex Perkins (playing Johnny Cash), Brad Cox, All Our Exes Live In Texas, Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys and many more.
It’s a pretty innovative concept, with fans able to get up close and personal with performers as they perform in intimate venues ranging from local haunts like Midnight Special, Jacoby’s and The Duke of Enmore, to record stores and clothing such as Route 66, Cotton. Mouth and Papa Disco.
The artists will also face larger establishments like Waywards, The Union and Kelly’s On King.
Tickets for the three-day festival will be available in a bunch of formats to suit your musical sensibilities, including day tickets and weekend passes and are available for buy now through Oztix and Music & Booze co.
