Carlisle United’s chances against Walsall as Blues aim for first Ligue 2 win in 13 games

Bookies favor Carlisle United to end their long winless streak against Walsall today.

They put Keith Millen’s side ahead in this afternoon’s Ligue 2 game at Brunton Park.

United are 6/4 with Bet365 and SkyBet for the win, and 8/5 with William Hill.

A win would be a first in 13 league games for the Cumbrians.

Their 11th visitors, whose assistant manager Matt Taylor is former Carlisle boss Neil McDonald, are 9/5 for the win at Brunton Park with Bet365 and SBK.

Sky Bet and Paddy Power offer 17/10 for a Saddlers victory on the Blues field.

The draw is 12/5 with Unibet.

Carlisle is hoping to avoid setting an unwanted club record today. They had never played six consecutive home league games without scoring.

If you’re worried about another Blues Brunton white, odds of 12/5 are available. One United goal is offered at 6/4, two at 3/1 and three at 15/2.

Walsall’s George Miller is 11/2 favorite to be the game’s first scorer, with Brad Young and Zach Clough 6/1 for the Cumbrians.

Conor Wilkinson, who took victory at Brunton Park for Leyton Orient last season, is 7/1.

Brennan Dickenson is 10/1 to open the scoring while a rare goal from Danny Devine to kick off is 33/1.
